How cookies and browser storage are used

What cookies are

Cookies are small pieces of data stored by your browser. Websites may use them to maintain sessions, remember preferences, support security or measure activity. Similar browser storage, such as localStorage and sessionStorage, can also keep information on your device.

Public recruitment website

Our custom recruitment functionality does not currently intentionally use browser cookies, localStorage or sessionStorage for:

• Driver applications.
• Driving licence uploads.
• Job searches.
• Newsletter signup.
• Application review.
• Application confirmation.

Security and anti-abuse

Application and newsletter forms use server-side security and anti-abuse mechanisms, including:

• Request validation and security tokens (nonces).
• Timing checks.
• Server-side rate limiting.

Recruitment Core does not implement these controls as custom browser tracking cookies. Temporary submission feedback uses server-side records and tokens; those records are not browser cookies.

Administrator sessions

WordPress may use essential authentication and session cookies when authorized administrators or staff sign in. These support secure authenticated sessions and administrative access, separately from public recruitment activity.

Analytics and advertising

The current custom recruitment website does not intentionally include analytics, advertising or behavioral-tracking scripts. Our custom code does not currently integrate Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, Hotjar or Microsoft Clarity.

Third-party services

Hosting, WordPress plugins or external services may introduce their own functional cookies depending on configuration. Their behavior is separate from the custom recruitment code and needs to be checked for the live installation.

This policy may be updated if new integrations are introduced or existing configurations change.

Identity verification links

If additional identity verification is required, a candidate may receive a separate link by email following a recruitment team member’s review. This is a manual step and is not required automatically for every candidate.

Following an external verification link may take you to a third-party service governed by that provider’s own cookie and privacy practices. Review the provider’s information before using the service.

Cookie consent

The current custom recruitment functionality does not include optional analytics or advertising cookies requiring a website preference control. This statement does not determine the requirements for other plugins, hosting or external services.

If optional analytics, advertising or similar technologies are added in the future, the website’s cookie controls and this policy should be reviewed and updated before those technologies are enabled.

Managing cookies

Your browser settings generally allow you to view, block or delete cookies. The available controls depend on your browser. Blocking essential session cookies may affect signed-in or administrative functionality.
